What is Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a multi-faceted disorder characterized by extreme fatigue.  The fatigue may worsen with physical or mental activity, but doesn't improve with rest.  There is always a cause for the decreased mitochondrial function in CFS, but it may take specialized testing to get some answers.  Many patients tend to have a history of chronic viral (Epstein Barr, Herpes, West Nile, Rotavirus, etc..) or bacterial (Lyme, Babesia, Mycoplasma, etc..) infections.  In addition, imbalances in hormones and exposure to toxic chemicals or metals will contribute to more problems.  A thorough Functional Medicine workup can help us identify what might be causing your symptoms.

ICIM Success Stories treating CFS

“I came to Dr. Noah after spending a couple years and over $20,000 on other doctors who were not able to help me. He is the only one who was very thorough and actually had answers and took the time to figure things out. I had many symptoms including digestive issues, extreme fatigue, muscle weakness, hair loss, swollen lymph nodes, etc. etc., and could barely spend more than a couple hours a day functioning. He knew what testing to do and has helped me discover that I have Lyme, SIBO, and all of the fun side effects that come with those. :) I truly don't know where I would be right now if I had not come to him...probably laying on the floor. :) I am getting energy back and feeling like I am starting to have a life again. This place is the best! I am so grateful for Dr. Noah and his amazing staff!” ~ A. K. of Meridian, ID

"After many years seeing other health care professionals, I still suffered from chronic fatigue, and I was unable to tolerate alcohol.  Dr. Noah (really) helped me considerably in both these areas.  I highly recommend Dr. Noah and his well-qualified staff for anyone suffering from chronic fatigue."  ~ G. B. of Eagle, ID
