hydrogen peroxide IV therapy
The body uses hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) for many of its functions such as protein and carbohydrate metabolism, immunity functions; as well as fat and mineral metabolism. So this is to say that our bodies are not strangers to utilizing it.  In fact, your immune cells release peroxides to help fight and kill most infections.  Hydrogen peroxide is produced by most cells of the body for many different physiological reasons. One of the most important is to produce H 2 O 2 as a first line of defense against bacteria, yeast, virus, parasites, macrophages, and most fungi.  We find this therapy to be most helpful for any kind of infection or immune dysfunction - whether chronic, or acute.  There are a variety of ways to supplement hydrogen peroxide in the body, but we use a specific solution that is delivered by IV.

What is Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy?

In addition to being a much needed chemical in the body, hydrogen peroxide is also known for killing germs and is traditionally used to clean wounds, sanitize homes and work stations, and for laundry. It is very important in taking care of “free radicals” that are constantly bombarding our system, by helping the immune system through killing bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast and other parasites that can be harmful to us. Hydrogen peroxide is an excellent defense barrier for our bodies!

Oral hydrogen peroxide therapy can be very irritating to the stomach so therefore, we choose to deliver a specific food grade hydrogen peroxide solution via IV into the body. It gives the body what it needs almost immediately!

What can Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy help with?

Some illnesses that can benefit from IV therapy using hydrogen peroxide include:

  • temporal arteritis
  • shingles
  • chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
  • Yeast syndrome
  • Various viral infections, including AIDS
  • Sluggish thyroid
  • Arthritis
  • Autoimmune Disease
  • Emphysema
  • Lupus erythematosis

Medical Research about Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy

According to Ron Kennedy, M.D. Santa Rosa, CA...

"The effect of singlet oxygen in the human body is twofold. It kills, or severely inhibits the growth of, anaerobic organisms (bacteria and viruses that use carbon dioxide for fuel and leave oxygen as a by-product). This action is immediate, on contact with the anaerobic organism. Anaerobic bacteria are pathogens, the organisms which cause disease. All viruses are anaerobic.Aerobic bacteria (those that burn oxygen for fuel and leave carbon dioxide as a by-product — as humans do) found in the human intestine are friendly bacteria, which aid in digestion. These organisms thrive in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. The second effect of hydrogen peroxide is that it provides singlet oxygen, which, in turn, transforms biological waste products and industrial toxins into inert substances by oxidizing them. This makes them easy to handle for the kidneys and liver. It doubles the rate of enzymatic metabolism in the mitochondria within each cell, thus enabling the body to cleanse itself of toxins and still have plenty of energy to handle the business of living from moment to moment. This increase in metabolism probably accounts for some of the antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral effects of hydrogen peroxide." Read More...

Additional Info about Hydrogen Peroxide Therapy at the ICIM

There is relatively no pain or side effects to having hydrogen peroxide IV therapy. Of course, some people find having an IV to be uncomfortable, but beyond that you should experience no pain.

Unfortunately, this treatment is not yet accepted by insurance so any expense is the patient’s responsibility. Patients usually experience the most benefit from several doses. We encourage you to contact our office with questions or to make your appointment.
