Since our mission is to help you find optimal health, we offer many functional medicine and preventative therapies.  As you know, these are rarely covered by insurance.  Wtih rising healthcare costs, many insurance companies have cut benefits or covered services, so we have decided to opt-out of all insruance networks.

Beginning Jan 1, 2024, the Idaho Center for Integrative Medicine will no longer be accepting health insurance

While this decision was quite difficult for us, we have made our decision based on several key points

1) These insurance companies have made cuts to chiropractic scope and reimbursement far exceeding other healthcare professionals.

2) The amount of paperwork, pre-authorization, and denials have made working with them extra difficult.

3) Their policies now refuse to cover any sort of maintenance treatment. This means that unless you sustain a new and distinct injury every couple months, your claims could be denied.

4) Coverage of our wide variety of therapies continues to be denied. We pride ourselves in providing a wide array of effective and safe therapies, backed by science, but these therapies are continuously denied by certain insurance companies. These include things like injection therapies, acupuncture, naturopathic care, nutrition counseling, IV nutrients, PEMF, and much more.

While we deeply value our relationship with each patient, we simply cannot provide the type of care we believe in, while jumping through all the insurance hoops, and having our care dictated to us. We value our liberty to treat each patient to the best of our ability, and this is the only path that enables us to do that. We understand this may affect your decision to seek care at our clinic, but we hope you’ll see the value in our comprehensive model. We believe that this investment in your health will pay dividends in the long term. In addition, we are happy to provide you with a superbill for your services. These may be submitted for out-of-network benefits, or for FSA/HSA reimbursement. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
