Therapies

Our philosophy at ICIM is to continuously strive to find and learn new techniques and therapies that will help our patients reach their health goals. We have a lot of arrows in our quiver, and we are always adding new ones through continuing education well above the mandated minimums.

Boise Massage TherapyMassage therapy is a wonderful way to increase blood flow and circulation, release tension, and eliminate painful muscle knots - especially in conjunction with other therapies like chiropractic care. This is a great way to relax the muscles while also helping important nutrients get to tissues that need them. Many people enjoy massage because of how they feel during and after the treatment. It is considered both a therapeutic and preventive treatment for many, and a luxurious treat for all. Regardless of how you view it, massage therapy can help you with sore muscles, and can aid with ailments such as asthma, menstrual cramps, edema, arthritis, depression, migraine headaches, and much more...  Please give our office a call today at (208) 629-5374 to hear about our new patient special with our Boise Massage Therapist - Kim Thomas, CMMP, LMT.

What is Massage Therapy?

Massage is manipulating and moving muscles to help improve circulation and the immune system. Sometimes massage can feel a tad uncomfortable, but many will agree that when you continue massaging the body, it just gets better and better. It's a little like exercise; When you do it the first time, you are a tad sore the next day but when you keep doing it, you don't hurt and the body becomes stronger for it. Pressing on the muscle tissues will release fluids and toxins that are being stored in the body, making it much easier for them to be excreted out of the body. There are a variety in types of massages, so please feel free to communicate your preferences to the massage therapist both prior to, and during the massage.
